Working with James on 8 Monash Parade, Dee Why - where we set a new street record!  That was very special, and that calibre of property doesn't come around every day.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT REAL ESTATE DURING YOUR CAREER?

No one property, vendor and/or purchaser is the same, all three have their own personality. And if you can learn a way to capture that and use it as your point of difference in each circumstance, I believe you will be one step ahead of the rest! 

HOW HAVE WOMEN’S ROLES IN REAL ESTATE CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

We are women in a man's world, and sometimes that means you have to work twice as hard. However, I see female agents' faces and names on many more signboards and websites these days. I think that's empowering and only shows our dedication and consistency. 

IT’S BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR, ARE THERE ANY REAL ESTATE TIPS YOU COULD SHARE?

Be adaptable and don't be afraid to try something new that isn't generally seen as ‘by the book'. There is no harm in being different, as 'different’ can quite often be better. Bring personality and lifestyle to each transaction!

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?

Have discussions with clients over the phone before meeting them face to face. Understanding, and being able to get a feel for how they operate, allows you the benefit of knowing how to approach the initial meeting, which can make or break the relationship.

None yet!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN WANTING TO START A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE?

Don't get caught up in the uncontrollable, be BOLD, be yourself and be true. There is never the perfect time, or the perfect market to start, as long as you have the drive within, the traction and momentum will follow. 

DO YOU HAVE ANY FASHION & BEAUTY TIPS THAT YOU’VE LEARNT WHILE ON THE JOB?

Personally, I think fashion and real estate go hand in hand. A suit isn't always for everyone, so for me, it's about comfort, colour and confidence!
