HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN REAL ESTATE?
17 years.
WHERE DID YOU START?
At Domain.com.au, working on the property website side of the industry.
IS IT YOUR DREAM JOB?
Running a business is always challenging, but when you love what you do, it becomes a lifestyle, and I absolutely breathe it.
BEST CAREER EXPERIENCE?
Starting my business as a buyers agent. Meeting beautiful families every day and helping them find their dream home, putting a smile on their faces and a sense of relief.
WORST CAREER EXPERIENCE?
The burnouts we experience in this industry because of the lack of breaks we take.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT REAL ESTATE DURING YOUR CAREER?
It’s a fast-paced industry full of opportunity, and at its core, our purpose is to help people. If your focus is purely on chasing money, it will be difficult to find long-term success. The people who truly excel are those who lead with genuine care, service, and integrity — the rewards naturally follow.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT YOURSELF DURING YOUR CAREER?
That I’m capable of a lot more than I thought I was.
HOW HAVE WOMEN’S ROLES IN REAL ESTATE CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?
Women’s roles are still grounded in the same strengths, resilience, empathy, and drive, but what’s changed is that we’re stepping forward with more confidence and visibility. We’re seeing more women in leadership positions, starting their own businesses, and taking bold chances to shape their own paths.
Work-life balance remains a challenge, especially as a single mum juggling multiple responsibilities, but there’s now greater recognition of that reality. There’s a growing understanding that success doesn’t have to look one way, that flexibility and balance are key parts of the conversation.
IT’S BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR, ARE THERE ANY REAL ESTATE TIPS YOU COULD SHARE?
As a buyers agent, I would advise property buyers to have a plan, speak to a mortgage broker about their borrowing capacity, shortlist areas they want to buy in, and if unsure, speak to a professional for guidance.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?
Everything in life comes with its challenges, the key is to choose your hard, so you see it not as a task, but as a lifestyle and commitment.
ANY REGRETS REGARDING YOUR CAREER?
Zero regrets. I’ve learned from every experience.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN WANTING TO START A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE?
Do it for the people you’ll meet and the career you’ll build, not for a dollar. Think long-term, not short-term. Keep your integrity and credibility every step of the way.
DO YOU HAVE ANY FASHION & BEAUTY TIPS THAT YOU’VE LEARNT WHILE ON THE JOB?
I’ve always been a fashion lover, so it was the best industry to be in. Dress classy and for the job you want, not the one you have. When you invest in yourself, you create opportunities.
