HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN REAL ESTATE?

I’ve been in the industry for four years now, but my passion for property goes back much further. My friends used to joke and tell me to "think before I link" because I was constantly annoying them with real estate sales data and market trends. I’ve always been obsessed with the industry.

WHERE DID YOU START?

I completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance, then began my career in strategy at Tabcorp before moving into corporate finance (Audit and Risk) at Deloitte. That background gave me a solid foundation in negotiation, risk assessment, and big-picture thinking — all of which I now apply daily as a buyer’s agent. It also instilled a deep understanding of process and procedure, which shapes the way we run our deals — from due diligence frameworks to structured negotiations and clear communication. It’s all about making confident, informed decisions at every stage, backed by a capable team.

IS IT YOUR DREAM JOB?

It is. Being able to combine data, strategy, and client relationships into one role feels like the perfect fit. I get to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while working in a field I genuinely love.

BEST CAREER EXPERIENCE?

Securing 10 deals in seven days — including two off-market — was a real milestone. It was a high-pressure, high-reward week that reminded me what’s possible with the right team and systems in place.

WORST CAREER EXPERIENCE?

Deals falling over right before exchange — especially when a client is emotionally invested — are always tough. But they’ve taught me to stay calm, keep clients informed, and always have a plan B.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT REAL ESTATE DURING YOUR CAREER?

That it’s part logic, part emotion. You need to understand the numbers and the people behind them. Every property, client, and negotiation is different — and that’s what keeps it so engaging. Every deal teaches me something new, and I carry those lessons forward.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT YOURSELF DURING YOUR CAREER?

That I’m resilient, resourceful, and more entrepreneurial than I ever expected. I’ve also learnt how to back myself.

HOW HAVE WOMEN’S ROLES IN REAL ESTATE CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

There’s been a definite shift, but there’s still more progress to be made. More women are stepping into leadership roles and driving real change — the key is continuing to lift each other up.

IT’S BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR — ANY REAL ESTATE TIPS YOU CAN SHARE?

Stay focused on long-term value. In uncertain markets, the fundamentals matter more than ever. Work with professionals who can guide you through the noise, and don’t be afraid to act when others hesitate — opportunity often hides there.

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?

“Run your own race.” Everyone has their own timeline, and comparison rarely serves you. Focus on what you’re building and keep moving forward.

ANY REGRETS REGARDING YOUR CAREER?

Only that I didn’t start sooner. But I also believe every part of my journey — especially my corporate background — has been essential in shaping how I work today.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN WANTING TO START A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE?

Just start. You don’t need to have it all figured out to make an impact. Back yourself, find a mentor, and don’t be afraid to take up space in rooms that weren’t traditionally designed for you.

ANY FASHION OR BEAUTY TIPS YOU’VE PICKED UP ON THE JOB?

Victoria & Woods is basically my best friend at this point.
