WHERE DID YOU START?

I initially reached out to one of the directors at LJ Hooker Avalon, expressing my enthusiasm for joining the team. After a meeting where I discussed my commitment to pursuing my real estate license, I was fortunate to receive a call just two weeks later inviting me to join.

HOW HAVE WOMEN’S ROLES IN REAL ESTATE CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

Although I haven’t been in the industry long, I came in with the belief that real estate was male-dominated, with women often playing supporting roles. However, my experience has been the opposite. I’ve seen immense respect for the women in our office, working alongside male colleagues who treat us as equals. The bond among the women I work with, regardless of age or experience, is incredibly strong, and I feel lucky to be part of such a supportive community.

IT’S BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR. DO YOU HAVE ANY REAL ESTATE TIPS?

This year has taught me the importance of staying focused on my goals while maintaining both mental and physical health. Resilience is crucial—don’t let the little things throw you off course, and keep pushing forward. Always ask questions and seek improvement, because that’s where the real growth happens.

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?

Stay true to who you are and your core values—these are what set you apart. Humility and compassion go a long way in this business, especially when you're helping people with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

ANY REGRETS REGARDING YOUR CAREER?

None at all. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given and the people I’ve met along the way.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN WANTING TO START A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE?

Be patient and disciplined—it takes time to establish yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and find a mentor who can guide you. Above all, be honest and authentic in everything you do.

A positive attitude and a bubbly personality can make any outfit shine. Confidence is key!
