Purchasing

Buying a property is likely the largest commitment you'll make. We handle every legal step so you can move forward with confidence.

Before you sign, we review the contract of sale in full — flagging unusual special conditions, easements, inclusions and anything that could cost you later. We order and interpret the planning certificate (s10.7) and other searches so you know exactly what you're buying.

Through exchange and the cooling-off period we manage correspondence with the vendor's representative, advise on deposit and finance timing, and keep your matter moving. At settlement we attend to adjustments, coordinate with your lender, and confirm the transfer is registered.

Frequently asked

Purchasing questions

How long does settlement take?
Most NSW and VIC residential matters settle 6 to 8 weeks after exchange. Off-the-plan and property developer matters can take considerably longer and depend on registration.
Do I need to review the contract before I sign?
Yes — always. Pre-purchase review is the single most valuable step in any property transaction, and we offer it as a stand-alone engagement.
